This artful accessory is a modern interpretation of old-school craft.
MoMA Exclusive: Nuno (Japanese for “fabric”) is designed by Reiko Sudo who works exclusively with Japan’s weavers and dyers to meld traditional methods with modern technologies. Sudo’s work is represented in MoMA’s collection and her designs were featured in the Museum’s 1998 exhibition Structure and Surface: Contemporary Japanese Textiles. This Cut Glass Wool Scarf is inspired by “nanako,” the classic pattern made up of small, diamond-shaped cuts that create a textured surface on glass. The rows of triangles resemble overlapping scales which are said to protect the body in Japanese culture. A soft, Merino wool accessory to keep you (or a lucky recipient) extra cozy and stylish during colder months. The Nuno Cut Glass Wool Scarf measures 81l x 13"w. Dry clean only.
